It's been a month or two since I got my sewing machine. The going has been pretty slow, and the learning curve has been larger than I thought. I hemmed my jeans the first day I had the machine, and the results were less than fantastic. Once I get much better I'll re-do it. I've done some other basic repairs, which were very easy and obviously turned out OK.
Today I hemmed and cuffed a pair of grey wool slacks that I picked up at a thrift store a few months ago, which were a good two or three inches too long. The results are nowhere near perfect, but much better than I expected. Next up is a new pair of RRL khakis that are too long. They are currently in the drier, but after that I'll be hemming and cuffing them as well.
