Almost too warm in the morning for tweed now. Depressing. Some of my best jackets are tweed. Oh well, at least I'll be able to break out the Corbin cotton suit soon. That's another one of my favorites.

The shirt is a Nordstrom SmartCare shirt. My dad got it for me for Christmas five or six years ago. It's still going strong. But the roll isn't as nice as I'd like, and I've been wondering what to do, so I tried unbuttoning the collar buttons. I think it worked pretty well.

Old Man: Blucher Mocs

I was never a big fan of blucher mocs. I always preferred boat shoes, and blucher mocs seemed like boat shoes, but without the convenience of being able to slip on.

Last summer my boat shoes finally got too ripped to wear comfortably (or confidently), I started looking for some new shoes. The LL Bean Signature blucher mocs looked really cool, especially since they were suede (I love suede shoes, though I only have two pairs). So my wonderful wife bought them for my birthday. I've had them for a few months, and these have gone through lots in that time. Sand at the beach, playing soccer, sockless, sock-ed, drenched, bleached, etc. These things are great and have held up like a champ. I'd grab the other two colors if I could afford them. The laces are pretty cool too. Highly recommended.



And now I actually prefer the way blucher mocs look now. They look more balanced. But boat shoes are cool too.

I like hats. They can add a nice element to an outfit. If you've followed this blog for any length of time, I'm sure you know that I like flat caps, specifically those made I'm Donegal by Hanna Hats. They are an integral part of my Old Man steeze.

But I need a hat for summer. I thought of buying a linen Hanna Hat, but it wouldn't be the same. So I was at the Clemson Athletic Department (a place I don't particularly like, since Clemson fan gear hasn't changed that much over the past four years), and I saw this hat. I think it's a great hat, and works well for what ADG calls homeless trad or something like that.

It also helps that it supports Clemson but in a less obnoxious way than head to toe orange.

Another late Saturday night shift. But I got a haircut this past week so no awesome/terrifying hair pictures this week.




I love this tie. A thrift score. I can't seem to tie it without the smaller end "twisting." It used to bother me, but I love it now. I even got featured on Sart Inc for the twist once long ago (though with a different tie).



Now dudes don't have to ask what my tie is made of, since the "All Silk" tag is facing them. Boom. Stylish and functional. Done and done.




Pulled out the gunboats this morning.

Rest is JPress jacket, BB shirt, Epaulet chinos, ADG's square (I have like ten of his squares), and obnoxious argyle socks.
