A Christmas Poem, Written in Twenty Minutes, With All the Good Parts Contributed by My Wife

My eyes did see a wond'rous thing,
on Christmas morning bright.
On Christmas morning, cold and clear,
I saw a wond'rous sight.

Laid out before the Christmas tree,
in wrappings red and green,
Were presents big and presents small,
in wrappings neat and clean.

But better still than all the gifts
we gave to one another,
This better gift was giv'n by God:
Jesus, His Son, our Brother.

He came in lowly state to save
His sick and sinful kin,
To make a place for chosen ones,
to bring His siblings in.

So carry on with gifts you give
to family and friends,
But most important don't neglect
the Gift that saves from sin.

Merry Christmas, y'all.
